Covered Or Uncovered Women Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

Covered Or Uncovered Women

by Freeyad Ibrahim

Women are not different in made or composition
If she wants, she has got as much as man's position
Some women are greater in the disasters and calamities
If calamity once strucks the whole condition
A woman wrapping herself in this black shroud
or being naked arouses so much suspicion
They are the both sides of the same coin in definition
She covers or uncovers herself beyond recognition
hiding or exposing herself, she had men in her supposition
The former considers herself a sexual commodity
that must be hidden due to tradition
The latter considers herself a sexual commodity too,
but that must be displayed in addition.
She shows her dependency profoundly to man in completion

A rational woman is one who does not hide herself,
or make herself a matter of exposition
But rather acts as a natural human being,
Just like a man, independent refuses any submission
She just thinks of her personality,
In mind she seeks no other alternatives no ambition
