Long ago, ancient stories tell of brave knights who fought against enemies so fierce and fell.
in the deep mists of the ancient past come the tales of many knights bravest at their last.
And what warrior is braver than the one who fights for love the love of family and of friend?
The warrior who braves all fear and darkness for the sake of this undying love, even until the end.
For such selfless love may even in the tenderest lives inspire, a heart of courage like a blazing fire.
One ancient story shines out bright, with an immortal, valiant light.
The story of the fair Lady of Rohan, who stood bold, braving foes, evil and old.
The fair Lady of the Mark stayed over her uncle and her king were dying he lay.
And with sword in hand and shield on arm welcomed, the Nazgûl Lord into the fray.
Before the Witch King and his winged mount came endless tides of raging blackest fear,
The king was abandoned, and alone, only one still standing by him where he lay: one who held him dear.
His niece whom he loved dearly had come in disguise, she saw him fall and stayed over his body, without fear in her eyes.
She faced the darkest night of the brightest dawn, she cut down the serpent, and its corpse fell upon the green lawn.
And her helm of secrecy she had cast down and away, flowed her pale locks in the wind to sway,
Her eyes were gray as the sea yet weeping for her king, and when the darkness came against her, she did not flinch nor blench but simply stood to fight against the thing.
She fought with all her might hoping to save her uncle through the fight: though crash of heavy mace's steel, she dealt him a blow from which he reeled.
Into the depths of his hood shone her sword, beneath his crown, his body fell in a wreck, and his helm to the earth fell down.
She killed that darkest evil, darker than night, even though she fell pale and cold, and lying on the grass so quiet.
This sort of powerful love gave her the courage to stand, over her uncle, her king until the last and
The love will encourage others as well to fight for those they love: to love another enough to die, to take a stand.
