A compelling and courage filled composition!
Fight is like lava, soul is like the wind, the ideas are rivers and death is like a diamond, when you are courageous-well expressed poem-thank you..
beautiful metaphor for deriving courage from the forces of Mother Nature
I think the way you write your poems is amazing and the words you use well done keep it up
This humble poem of yours, somehow, has the ability to instill a rather subtle thoughtfulness in a reader. Keep writing.
Reminds me of blood diamonds, the water used in the mining, by those forced into the mining; the source of diamonds bought to the surface by past lava flows from volcanoes. Rivers flowing in generations blood forced into mining, once precious life born in love, now harvested in deaths controlling an African diamond trade. This image applies to many resources fought over on the African continent and souls like the wind are free 'far from the eyes of men'. Just one reading, nice images Enyinwa.
If we can let our soul be a wind far from the eyes of men - something to think about, thank you.
running (and in profile april) Do you want our soul or our souls to be a wind.... To stay in a pure way is not to live. Well get hurt, damage and damaged. If you love you learn how to cry If you hate you need love if you keep hating forgiveness. If you kill only the Mighty can help you. But diamonds are the eye of all that shines made evil. Yes you need courage to face life in all it's facets. You need courage to stay open and aware You need courage to love yourself and others who else will feed the seeds of a good sawer. I really like this, very thought provoking and spiritual, I hear you my brother Jon
Yes, misfortune should pass by and red hot lava brilliantly describes courage. Gr8 imagery.
if only we can let our soul be a wind. nice. I agree with Chitra. keep it up. Top marks.
beautiful metaphor for deriving courage from the forces of Mother Nature
derive courage from the forces of nature... a noble thought.... beautiful metaphor
The first two suggestive lines contain beautiful metaphors. Already the courage of the black race we see and marvel in Boxing, running(Olympics) , Cricket, Football....Yet the poet wants to make hotter their courage by borrowing lava from the volcano. There is an allusion to the destiny of the rivers flowing after they left a place being starved. They turn their killing pursuits of hard labour into diamonds.Let their souls be free and off from the enslaving looks of men. Courageous lines from a brave -hearted poet.
Very beautiful and I can feel your words flow like your soul free like the wind. Beautiful!
Poignant philosophical piece set aside for sober reflection. Nice thought provoking poem. Thanks for sharing.
