Counting On Numbers Poem by Phil Soar

Counting On Numbers

Numerically, I was lost in math
I didn't have a numbered path
I lost my way through the times tables
At school I wasn't all that stable
My mind would wander here and there
My eyes would have a numeric stare
The teacher wrote it on the board
I found numbers made me bored
I wish that I had listened now
As everyday I wonder how
I'm going to manage my bank account
Because, you see, I cannot count
