Counted Worthy Poem by Phil Daniels

Counted Worthy

Counted worthy to suffer shame
Surely that's not part of the game
For this is no longer being taught
Christ's people don't learn what they aught

Counted worthy in His name
Come on, no ones to blame
This cant be part of the acts
Some one surely twisted the facts

Counted worthy aren't we all
Each one on Heavens roll call
But one moment take a look
Mankind's way is looking crook

Counted worthy is not by chance
An earthly story loving romance
God sent His Son its in His book
Yet this is ignored it is forsook

Counted worthy on God's terms
Escaping the heat of many therms
Pain and suffering upon His road
Count it joy as Christ shares the load

Counted worthy in our sin
Cleansed forgiven even within
God's mercy in Christ it can be seen
Christ's outstretched arms, that hillside scene
