Is there anything
Can take the place
Of ice cream?
An ice cream freak I am
Sam I am, Sam I am
An ice cream freak I am
Anything else can take its place?
After seeking desperately
Throughout all space
A treat I found
That's from a cow too
Upon it I stumbled
Yes, this is how:
Eating dinner at a friend's
She brought fruits, and salads
Out all on a tray
A bowl of curdled milk
I spied upon
White like ice cream
But smooth it was not
It had some lumps
The lumps weren't green
So it was not mold
My friend said,
"Try it with some fruit,
C'mon, be bold"...
I stood up tall
Stuck out my chest
I wanted to be different
From all the rest
So pineapple chunks and juice
And curdled milk all went
Into the same bowl...
Accompanying one another;
A friend a few feet from me then said,
"Please pass the cheese, "
The fellow by my side picked up the bowl
Of the lumpy white milk
And passed it down
My friend said, "I made this cheese
Right in my cabin down by the lake"
A few chimed in...
"You mean your little cottage? "
"Yes, " he said, in my very own cottage,
This is my cottage cheese"
I got hooked on the stuff
That very day
But now I go to the store
To buy it.
You can get it free
Come over to my place
And try it!
And it's every bit as good as my ice cream!
