It is hard to give up old habits, like shaking hands. A deep social custom. It's so sad.

Namaste is usually spoken with a slight bow and hands pressed together, palms touching and fingers pointing upwards, thumbs close to the chest. This gesture is called Añjali Mudrā; the standing posture incorporating it is Pranamasana. In Hinduism, it means " I bow to the divine in you" .

Times have certainly changed, haven't they? I wonder if they will ever go back to the way they were. I'm going to Google Kumarmani's word " Namaste" .

Shaking hands with friends and strangers was a habit in the past and now we need to change this habit as there is chance of infection of Corona Virus. We have to maintain social distancing and we can greet friends and relatives saying Namaste joining both hands of own. Namaste is Indian method of greeting others. Corona has provoked thought. We should remain safe. This is a brilliant poem shared.
