Corona Playing The Villain

Corona -Playing the villain
Tuesday,11th May 2021

Time is playing the villain
and maintains its spree
we are not feeling free
and even remain afraid to greet

the age-old relation
between humans
now seems to cease
we are now assessing the reason, why?

our ancestral heritage has come to a grinding halt
as our built customs are fast disappearing
our mentality has undergone a sea change
black marketeers and hoarders have held the sway

were we not uniting against external aggression?
when the unity call was given by the nation
in today's context, the invisible deadly virus has played a destructive role,
taking the lives of innocent people and called upon to be vigilant

we may come out victorious
but after bearing the brunt of losses
it shall not be easy to forget the scars
but the result is still far away
