Always that special touch Laurie which make your poems memorable - this is enchanting, your imagery comes to life as I gaze at a ship on the horizon, and makes me think of farewell kisses tenderly given to those on board. Lovely story

this is so beautiful read aloud....and so enchanting until the last lines when we realize the loved one is on the ship... never to return.... (sad!)

What a beautiful tale, and such a rhythm running all through just like a song; like a slow wave taking you out to sea. I really enjoyed this, will have to save it for later reading again and again. Thank you, this makes reading poetry so worthwhile. Have to read a lot to come across the occasional one like this. Had such good luck today..(smile)
