We can talk for hours and laugh in between

A compelling conversation. A different theme handled with conviction. well done!
Dear Emu, This is really a wonderful poem, unique and ideologically very well described in the form of a dialogue. John has interpreted it so well that I cannot add much in my comment. There is a relation between dreams and desires but I think somehow we are bound to our DNAs.
realistic approach..and well wrtten piece...dramatic style and lovely approach
I appreciate the depth of profound conversations it's like trolling for salmon with a 2-lbs weight and hooking a whale lol
this is such an interesting poem that has its own unique. and you had made this poem good to be read! nice...
Hi Emu - this is a powerful poem - well written in 'free verse' with good rhthym - so i score it MAX. What is its content? Verse one describes our tendency to choose INFIDELITY over FAITHFULNESS because of the frisson of excitement it gives us. This is choice from an 'article' what baout our choices in real life? Verse two - 'Social norm for the greater good' why does this make us feel 'Caged - Starved - Hanged' we do have the free will to choose or do we? Verse three - HYPOCRISY? 'Infidelity admired but not chosen because of social norms? '. You seem to have a dilleme EMU - 'How many times must we die for one life - so that we can be right socially' What we believe in PRIVATE is not always the face we show in PUBLIC! Verse four - Where do we go in our dreams and visions - where can we go? Every City in the World - Every battleground in history - With every known Painter - Poet - Writer - Musician. Social restraint is brushed aside - we are free to roam - free to act - free to think! 'I am entrusted with a fra greater gift - If I were to follow the norrn - I would start fading form my DNA! You describe your DNA as (Dead-Not-Arrived) . DNA howvever os much greater thn that it precribes and proscribes what and who we are and what and who we can become. It is the heritage of ALL OUR ANCESTORS. DNA the chemistry of life. If we hold back and do not live life to the full - however expeditious - we are an insult to our DNA and thereby to ALL OUR ACESTORS. This is a powerful poem EMU and given us all much food for thought. Love in poetry - JOHN.
Intrinsically we both chose a man who lavish in infidelity however insane we both agreed separately that this simple quest for human character is not something that we should take casually..we should never take quest for human character so casually as we have learn and give so much to it even though we may differ in our approach...lovely poem and i liked it so much from individualism....10 read mine...miss i mis you...anyshwere...no sparate ways
A creative and compelling conversation.
your metaphors are wonderfully expressing what you need to deliver to the reader....well done..
True again, I then said infidelity is a choice that may not be taken-up by many
You are talking at length on hypocrisy and timidness there Emu...and you talk brilliantly on behalf of both...as we always find hypocrisy triumphs over for a time short not that long... anyhow it locates another prey by that time before escaping unnoiticed by truth in life! Well, you had a nice debate there within your mind...thanks for sharing...i liked...10
This reads more like the makings of a 50,000+ novel than a poem. Look again. Poetry (from the Greek 'π ο ί η σ ι ς ', poiesis, a 'making') is a form of literary art in which language is used for its aesthetic and evocative qualities in addition to, or in lieu of, its apparent meaning. Poetry may be written independently, as discrete poems, or may occur in conjunction with other arts, as in poetic drama, hymns, lyrics or prose poetry.
a different subject handled boldly a lot of truth to it...10
