Consuming Darkness Poem by Jon ProskeyVigil

Consuming Darkness

Rating: 5.0

I am the night;
I consume all light.
A dark little boy;
All sorrow no joy.
No holiday cheer;
Only a single tear.
Not a thing goes right;
I am consumed by fright.
A darkness consumes all;
See how far I did fall.
All this anger and rage;
Makes it hard to turn a page.
To start a new chapter in my life;
To get rid of all this strife, .
But still I am dark inside;
I have no one to guide.
I have become a raging beast;
Fortunatly I've not been unleashed.
There is a hunger that consumes my soul;
And on my body it has taken it's toll.
It has given me a power;
And in this pain I will shower.
I am surrounded by a haze;
And even my eyes now have a glaze.
I am alive but only just;
At any moment I could become dust.
