Constant Lambert's 'anna Karenina' Suite Poem by james watkin

Constant Lambert's 'anna Karenina' Suite

Soothing the soul;
And of the race
The great harmonizer.
Here, do sit I
With my fellow
Musical worshipper.

O Orpheus
Whom you speak through
For strings, in your great hall
This eve, bare treed
Will, back under
Homing, haunt, autumnal.
