Consoling Fragment Poem by Ananta Madhavan

Consoling Fragment

Whom shall I address but You?
Perhaps a casual reader, here by chance,
But I rejoice. At times I feel the urge
To find a frisson with another mind,
Another pair of eyes, even if purblind,
So as to ratify my odd incertitude
On certain mornings, when I can be sure
I am not alone and I can feel bound
To all that I perceive as the sole
Survivor of a shipwreck in my ocean,
Not just a fragment of a dream or trance.

Thanks for your encouragement and empathy. Makes it worthwhile for me to work on verse to express my fast-vanishing notions. Gracious Reader, indeed.
