Considering Virginia
No, not much of a Southerner
-- though I don't like the north either--
I've little or nothing in common with these 'country folk'!
I don't like them-- they don't like me!
they're religious Republicans-- I'm not.
My savanthood keeps us apart:
they're tied to a sense of place, a bit of ground--
I've never had a homeplace-- always must move along--
never found a spot I wanted to stay-- or maybe, too many!
