Congratulations Dominic Windram!
Time to get the champagne out,
And pour a most generous measure.
Then raise our glasses and salute,
A poet who gives immense pleasure.
He writes poems so widely varied,
In a style that is unique to him.
Myriads of themes subjects and ideas,
Generous poetry he will never skim.
This kid from Westbrooke Avenue,
Is now a man who gives a poetic damn.
A poet gifted with vast imagination,
In the 3,000 poems of Dominic Windram.
Well done Dominic!

3,000 poems means nothing if the quality is not there. Some people on this site have 10,000 or 20,000 or more but none of them is worth reading. I have not ready any of Dominic's so can't judge him yet.

Thanks Shaun...much appreciated! What a wonderful tribute. I'm as happy as Larry, despite the fact that I am still missing my two front teeth. I'll be celebrating with my German friend Lukas on Sunday evening via Zoom. It's obviously 'a true friendhip never dies; inspired five from me. I will certainly be raising a glass of red wine to Wales and Germany tonight..make no mistake about that! ! !
