NOT KNOWING WHICH FOOT TO STEP WITH INTO ANOTHER HORIZON - What an amazing line! Few poems I've read take me so bravely to the very edge of transition to eternity. The context of Shakespeare's ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA is pagan obviously, but your poem still evokes Cleopatra's apotheosis; I HAVE IMMORTAL LONGINGS IN ME... I AM FIRE AND AIR; MY OTHER ELEMENTS I GIVE TO BASER LIFE. Anna Ahkmatova - a Christian - loved those lines because they express spiritual triumph. As does your poem.
