Conflicted Poem by Ray Hansell

Conflicted

She walked through the door
With her heart broken in two
For the first time ever
She doesn't know what to do

Why her life had been cut short
At this early age
What she felt deep inside
Sent her soul into a rage

Never once had she questioned faith
Or the things she believed
How was she supposed to accept
The death sentence she just received

She was told she had less then a year
To complete the rest of her life
That was why she looked so stunned
Like someone stabbed with a knife

She stood in front of the mirror
Questioning her belief
Wondering to herself why God
Do not give her some relief

All through life she gave her heart
To the Lord above
Believing what she was told
That God is always love

She'll never question God
Even though she feels betrayed
She knows that when He is here
Because of Him she will not be afraid

Doctors are human; Many times, they are wrong. Less than a year can turn into ten, And life can go on. God is still in the healing business, Can do miracles, too. You never really know Just what He might do.
