Concrete Mix (Popular Art As Culture) Poem by Pierre Rausch

Concrete Mix (Popular Art As Culture)

This is good, there's this weekend
Hadn't gone nuclear, the wedding clothes
A stray hand of hair
Behaving for the weekend
In high spirits today
Into my trousers and into my pocket
A tiny bump and it's just enough
The second thing to notice
That the music changes
Stand up and a collective sigh
Prepared the clap on knees
With an engagement ring
To the club for a final round
The dance feels familiar
Tare my dress off in excitement
The sounds down as it grew wilder
In public publicity, for your ticket
Wind up in an Manhatten apartment
Remember the heat as she'd touch my skin
From the most important person to a best friend
You have to let me know
For fun, it made it so much hotter
