Common Tales From Around Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Common Tales From Around

Nothing new, but let me still say
If you hearken to what I say:

Open and out and still unknown,
Tales of these stars I want to say.

Taken out from plain people's life,
Tale behind tale I want to say.

You know about that clever crow,
What inspired it makes what I say.

How good sleep He gave, nor sweet dreams,
Tale of bare beds grief-filled and grey,

Of him who took the blame ‘pon him,
Behaved blissful still all the way,

Of a flag that shunned crest's gold-shine
For freedom, and live a life of lay.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The grandeur of big stories of epics and history is generally well-known. This Ghazal wants to spread tales not so known, yet, no less grand.
