Coming Too Close Poem by Dorsey Baker

Coming Too Close

Baby we are coming too close
To that dead end street
Got to give that spirit freedom
And let it fly
Free to sail
Across the wide open sky

Baby we've come to close
To that dead end street
Don't want to black out now
Don't want our brakes to fail
Ain't got no footprints to follow
No tracks to trail

Baby we don't have to
Suffer the fate of mice and men
Forgive or forsake
Becomes the choice that you make
We have to back up
And begin again
Because
We've come too close
To that dead end street!
