Coming Home Poem by Phil Soar

Coming Home

Rating: 5.0

Like those tears were never cried
Like you were never by my side
Maybe time will override
The feeling that I've no more pride

I feel lost and hurt inside
I keep my heart and sole alive
With my eyes still open wide
Nothing else can break my stride

I will never stop believing you'll come home
Release me from the pain of being all alone
But until that day, I'm watching out for you
Hoping you'll return, and all my dreams come true
