Combative Dawn Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Combative Dawn

The Dawn today has been
Combative; it made winds blow
Though her intent was to make
Cooling such the heat that from
The shores and earth goes up.
The waters open as by magic
Hand; then slowly close to look
More horrible; scary their
Moving heights and through
Up to the rocky foundations on
The earth.
An oyster fast descends the water-wall
Yet
It no fear manifests in its environment.
Waters are trumpets; waters be
Music large and deafening.

The
Dawn
Let
It
Be
Shady
As
The
Fading
Dusk
The
Dusk
Let
It
Be
Light
As
Dawn
One day
Just
One day
Will
Dawn
And
Dusk
Be
As
One
One
Day?
See
What
They
Will
And
Have in
Programme!

The Dawn today has been
Combative; it made winds blow
Though her intent was to make
Cooling such the heat that from
The shores and earth goes up.
The waters open as by magic
Hand; then slowly close to look
More horrible; scary their
Moving heights and through
Up to the rocky foundations on
The earth.
An oyster fast descends the water-wall
Yet
It no fear manifests in its environment.
Waters are trumpets; waters be
Music large and deafening.
