The phrase COLOR ME POSSIBLE makes an inspired refrain for the poem. It's exactly the notion of exploration and discovery that should be promoted in children, and then nurtured through the arts in later years. You were about 13 when you wrote this - well, I can still benefit from the COLOR ME POSSIBLE theme at 66! I like the way you slip in other liberating notions, for example, DONT YOU DARE LIMIT ME and DONT CHASE ME OFF SO SOON. Your poem is a declaration of the IMAGINATION'S freedom. In a defining poem of the 20th c. Paul Eluard wrote, THE EARTH IS BLUE LIKE AN ORANGE.
