College: Peter's Pumpkin Eaters Comments

brian, i found it under college as you directed me. but i bet more people than myself will need help finding it unless you tell them how, or they are psychic (not to be confused with physics or physic) . hee hee :) bri

honestly, i thought this too cryptic for my mind, but the poet's notes were quite helpful, especially to understand the second stanza. well, fast forward 50 years and, despite non-proliferation treaties and destruction of some nuclear weapons, the world is still this far (..) from 'Armageddon'. yikes! i guess the possibility of nuclear annihilation [i finally had to look up the spelling! ] should make us 'thankful' that wars recently have just been limited to 10's and 100's of thousands of deaths and assorted injuries and destruction! ! ! ! but i lose more sleep over worrying about when i'll get to eat ice cream again. yeah, i have a TOUGH life. now (2014) Brian challenged me to use the same title, and i did. then i came and read this. interesting. :) bri thanks brian, for sharing this poem and the title. see brian's site for monthly/weekly? poem title challenges for you guys and gals.
