Cocktail

Rating: 5.0

You are frozen fruity drink
On the hot summer night
The chilled boozy slush
Of fresh strawberry scoops
Icy, creamy  crystals
that Melts to give a kick
The sweet sip of fizz
flows in me with a kiss
You add flavors in my life
topped with lots of fun

If this is an addiction, I consider benign. You capture with such elan vital the delight of sensory pleasure. I felt the cool sting of the fizz on my face, and the first sip of sweetness that makes me want to gulp the whole drink at once. This reminds me of the feeling conveyed in reading The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. It's the same lyrical promise of a temporary delight lasting indefinitely. Can I have another glass, Rini?

The sweet sip of fizz flows in me with a kiss You add flavors in my life topped with lots of fun You have prepared a sweet drink of eros out of your sweet words of poetic imagination. Great work. Felt chilled like having a cold sherbet in a hot humid evening. Thanks Rini for this gift. 10+++ for it, Subhas
