Coax The Embers Comments

Fire is often used an allegory for passion and as such works beautifully to express love in this fine poem. Interestingly too, it is often the breath that is used to ignite the embers - and the breath too often stands as an allegory for the heart. Coax is a wonderful word, David. Wonderful use of imagery here. Very intense poetry, yet at the same time, quiet. I like it alot!

The words 'smouldering embers' sets a romantic mood for companionship and love. Not only does this poem have an important philosophical message, but the imagery you so tenderly use works wonderfully well.
