Closing Time Comments

Year 12 seems a lifetime away and yet your poem still resonates with me. Incidentally, If you'd been round in the sixties, you'd know about another 'closing time' - when the pubs closed at 6.00pm. Thereafter, we had to sneak off to sly grog shops and keep a watchful eye out for the cops. Seriously, year 12 is full on and scary, but you're right when it's finally over and the results are OK, the lightness of heart is palpable. I can still remember the ceremonious bonfire my school hat made on the back lawn! Great piece - nice style and shape too. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
