My love,

I spent my life wanting to control everything
Control my future, control my destiny
I was in constant fear of what will happen

My inner turmoil calmed down
When I got closer to God
When I realised that all things are in God's hands
And how hardships are blessings in disguise
When I felt God's mercy in my life
And how much God loves me

Your love helped me understand myself
I saw my heart and soul through your mirror
It reflected to me perfection despite all my flaws
You love me deeply, you love my soul
Your love tenderly watered cracks in me
As rain infiltrates an arid desert

Today I surrender my life to God's wish
For God has a plan for my soul
Today I realise that when the light
Of faith was lit in my heart
The burden of fear I was carrying
For years, all of a sudden disappeared
