Climate Change Poem by Vinaya Joseph

Climate Change

Beneath the azure skies we've known,
A quiet cry, a planet's moan,
Icebergs melt, the oceans rise,
Nature's tears in a world's disguise.

Forests once lush, now stand bare,
Silent whispers in the air,
Creatures scatter, lost and frail,
In the wake of a human tale.

The seasons shift, a dance askew,
Winters warm and summers new,
Storms grow fierce, their fury known,
As Earth responds to seeds we've sown.

Factories billow, skies turn gray,
A world in mourning, day by day,
Plastic tides on distant shores,
Echoes of what we ignore.

Yet in the haze, a hope does gleam,
In hearts that dare to dream the dream,
Of cleaner air and waters pure,
Of futures bright and lives secure.

We are the stewards of this land,
With power held in every hand,
To change the course, to mend the way,
For Earth to see a brighter day.

Let's heed the call, the urgent plea,
To live in harmony, wild and free,
For climate change, though dire and real,
Can bend to human strength and zeal.

Together we can turn the tide,
With wisdom, love, and hope as guide,
To heal the world, to make amends,
For the Earth, our home, our friend.
