Clean My Closet Poem by Jihad T

Clean My Closet

I was chasing a false hope.
Thought I could change and never stop
Promises I've made, now I give them up
If you're gonna blame me, go ahead, it's your spot
I wouldn't even win your game
It's a profession that people's sympathy you seek to gain
I raise the white flag, cause when I lose you, I win
This time, my hands will not shake
I'd sign, never hesitate
A decision that I was supposed to take
Long time since we've met

Sorry, but it's time to clean my closet

You thought yourself a prize
But even a good horse needs a better knight
You kept tellin' me, I'll suffer without you, so be wise
Baby, here I am, still the same old day and night
No fault confessed, no reason, no faith, no norms you heed
Endless wanting, stubborn pride, in wasteful ways you lead
I raise the white flag, for losing you is how I'm freed
The word I feared to pronounce
We're done — here I announce
Now let the door resound as I leave you behind
Long time since we've met

Sorry, but it's time to clean my closet
Go chase your whims — far from me
I'm done with your dark history
Pour your tears where I don't see
Let some innocents live your mystery

Sorry, but it's time to clean my closet
