Classified Intimacy Poem by Roger Gerald Hicks

Classified Intimacy

I.Hypnotic Stare

We work together
for years
yet we don't speak.

We look
into each other's eyes
and gaze
with familiar
kindred closeness.

It is time
to go to the next level.

Let's speak
and unwrap our love.

II. Compromising Positions

I signed up
for 12 aerobic classes
just to watch you
and be close to you.

Twice I walked you
to your car.

We read New Times
Romances
last week
right before class.

This teddy bear
wants you!

III.Blind Date Blind

You crazy chick!
I am not guilty.
The number you gave me

was a mortuary!

Give me another chance
