Citrus Fruit Poem by Dela Fleur

Citrus Fruit

Rating: 5.0

The sweet wind brushes gently past your nose.
Your nails press deeper into citrus skin,
It peels away like petals from a rose,
A sudden smile is curling eerie and thin.

Tangerine slices enter through your mouth,
Each piece is gently pushed in with a grin,
The juices flow like rivers from the south,
Down your chin these juices then make me spin.

Bittersweet eyes gaze deep at me so coldly,
It sends a faint tremor through my tainted body,
Silence hangs so dense, so still and boldly
The air feels heavy, thick, yet wild and rowdy.

Like tangerines that bruise with every peel,
Your love, though sweet, conceals a bitter deal.
