Cigarette Sorrows Poem by Aestro, The Starchild

Cigarette Sorrows

I'm not a great lover for them,
I'm just a loner to most,
I sleep around like a wh0re,
But yearn for a woman for me,

I watch the couples go,
My eyes wander to the sky,
I watch the smoke go
From my own cigarette

I yearn for a woman,
I yearn for love,
But who could love me,
I'm just a loner wh0re

I go into a bar,
I order until I am no more,
A soft rhythmic laugh,
I look up

There she is,
The one for me,
She asks if I'm alright,
I stumble home to her,

Her bed soft like feathers,
She tucks me in,
Looks down at me and says,
‘Rest, little one. You must sleep.'

I dream of the wonders,
That she could bring to me,
Her lovely skin against mine,
Her rhythmic laugh at all times,

But when I wake up,
She is nowhere to be found,
I realize that she never was there,
A figure of my foolish imagination

I go to the kitchen,
then drink some ice water,
I open another pack,
And smoke for my sorrows to go away
