Chronic Blues Poem by Gio Masserati

Chronic Blues

Chronic Blues
No giggling matter

Numb numb numb
Catatonic stare
Hello?
Anybody in there?

Been through hell and back
Your life feels done
I'm sorry-I really am
But I have to do this
Open the shades
Let in the sun

Jumping up and down
Miming like a clown
Gyrating my hips
Turning up
The corners of your lips

Your heart gets lighter
This bleak world a little brighter
Darkened clouds begin to part
Lol!
Laughing now
To 2 silly hearts
Lol!
Changing 1 heart
And another one too
To lift above
The Chronic Blues

You are such good writer. I love the flow of your poems. The first versus were completely felt...that numbness, stillness, the catatonic stare...anybody out there. I've been there! Then the poem changes.....Snap out of it! Only love can do this! I completely agree! Nice work!
