Christmas Eve
My precious christmas memory,
Is there with you beside the tree,
The lights they twinkle oh so bright,
It's Christmas eve,
Our eyes alight.
I hear your voices,
They fill the air,
You were my favourite loving pair,
My Mum and Dad with love to share,
Upon that christmas eve.
And as I think back to that day,
My love for you is here to stay,
I wish you'd never gone away,
But memories are mine forever.
Merry christmas heavenly sent,
I long for the day so lovingly spent,
Once again in your company,
This moment you're here with me.
And as I sit here by my tree,
I hope you're looking over me,
You'd want me happy as can be,
On this christmas eve.
