Christmas Poem by Anzelyne shideshe

Christmas

Soft snowflakes whisper to the waiting ground,
As golden lights in windows glow around.
The year exhales, its worries set aside,
While hope comes knocking, warm and open-eyed.

Fires crackle stories into the night, Old laughter rising in flickering light.
Hands find hands, and hearts remember why,
Love feels larger when December's nigh.

A mug of cheer, a song half-out of tune,
A quiet wish beneath the winter moon.
No gift wrapped tight could ever quite compare
To moments shared, to knowing someone's there.

So may this Christmas hold you soft and near,
With gentle joy to carry through the year.
And may the light that sparkles once again
Stay lit in you - past now, past then.
