Christian Crusade Poem by Saul Palti

Christian Crusade

To Bethlehem I must ride under skys and sun
all alone with no man but many flocks at either side
all have gathered at pace with eager fun
so Saturn is a shadow and begins to hide

the thoughts are clear a meaner meal
of who trusts my lonely heart
at temptation I have yet to feel
peoples weary curse shall depart

a little fallen solider dies
for disease shall kill faster than a bullet
while a young girl falls and cries
in a window sold for pennies bit

the boys yell out slaves in lace
as I go with all and yet fall down
the tortoise and hair begin to race
just to sing and clap at the red haired clown

Jesus was left on a cross with his followers
for all other ten kept to his grub
as his women were all wallowers
with lanterns magic three time rub

how our minds are lead to believe
that this atrocity was a one time thing
so we all shall start to grieve
as the church bell sings a ring

your either with or without
lucky brake parts its last way
for the losers which are kraut
and made to settle a new stay

in a hole where fire burns
and souls seat to stare
refuse to read and write or learn
we have all fallen there

heaven and angles turn and nod
bright light crisp and white
so Gabriel can lower his fishing rod
for he knew at the very first sight

where we go in the eyes beholder
for the gate is refuse or grant
so power given to each shareholder
so you can read all this drunken rant
