Christ Jesus, Our Champion Poem by Shaila Touchton

Christ Jesus, Our Champion

In the realm of the spirit, a battle rages on
Against principalities, powers, and spiritual wrong
But we are not defenseless, we have a mighty sword
The word of God, and prayers that pierce the cloud

We lift our eyes to heaven, and cry out for grace
For strength to stand against the evil in this place
We plead the blood of Jesus, for victory and might
And declare our freedom, from the darkness of night

We bind the strongman, and cast out his lies
We loose the chains of bondage, and set the captives free
We pray for breakthrough, and a new dawn to arise
For the power of God, to shatter the enemy's disguise

With every prayer, we claim our authority
In Christ Jesus, our champion and our liberty
We enforce the victory, that Jesus won on the cross
And declare our triumph, over the enemy's loss

So let us pray with boldness, with faith and with fire
For the kingdom of God, and His desire
Let us march forth in unity, as one body in Christ
With spiritual warfare prayers, that shake the heavens and ignite.
