Christ Bleeds Poem by Qiniso Mogale

Christ Bleeds

Rating: 4.5

The subject of unity pressed hard
upon Christ in Christ 17th chapter
in the Gospel of John
Christ prayed for the unity of His Church
Christ bleeds as He sees the walls of separation
Christ bleeds as He observes these alienations
He bleeds as He witnesses the riven circles of God's family
He is dismayed by these warring tribes of ecclesiastics
He is torn and bleeds and suffers afresh at the sight of these divisions!

The love for money has caused these walls of separation
The pursuit of earthly treasures has brought about these alienations
Prayer less praying has resulted in these riven circles in God's family
Obsession with titles has caused these warring tribes of ecclesiastics
So Christ bleeds profusely
Christ is torn and bleeds and suffers afresh at the sight of these divisions!
