Choose Your Achievements In Life Poem by Dr John Celes

Choose Your Achievements In Life

This peak, I've climbed already once;
Should I climb it once more?
This ball, quite high, I made it bounce;
The stunt if same is a bore!

The time, life gave is almost oe'r;
Should I try out new things?
As child, I was a church-goer;
I didn't see queens and kings!

This life on earth has many sports;
I'm master of not one;
My country has still many forts;
More lie under the sun.

In life on earth, our time is less;
So, do some things you can;
Should we not wear a newer dress?
Life has new thrills for man.

Many are talents, we possess;
So choose the feats you chase;
Money need not give happiness;
Be winner in a race!

Some things we do must help others;
Far more are poor than rich;
Our excess ought to aid brothers;
Be angel, not a witch!

Most precious thing is time on earth;
Our life is precious-most;
Let's serve the purpose of our birth;
God helps us bear the cost!
