Choose To Be Here Poem by Lovelyn Madriaga

Choose To Be Here

At every moment,
choose to be here,
how hard it is,
how confusing it may be.

The ride might be bumpy,
the air might be heavy,
but hey, it will pass,
so choose to be here.

Even if you think,
you might be better off,
but hey, remember,
it's not always the deal.

Being here doesn't always mean,
the need to keep moving,
most of the time is
you just have to keep breathing.

Being here also means
you don't carry this alone
you just pause, yes, rest
then you'll have the energy to go again.

So choose to be here,
how bumpy the road may be,
how heavy the air could be,
yes, always choose to be here.
