I'm glad the poet was willing to use, in stanza 2, what I consider a non-rhyming pair of line-ending words. five stars. : ) bri I'd rather see non-ryming words than words poorly-chosen! !

I guess poem would use definition #1: Guise: '1- Outward appearance or aspect; semblance. 2- False appearance; pretense. 3- Mode of dress; garb. '

I 'hate' (ok, I do NOT like) when an English word has such diverse definitions, as the word 'guise'! !
