Childhoods Year Poem by Lodigiana Poetess

Childhoods Year

Rating: 5.0

Buds awaking, green returning
April showers, birds a' worming,
children skipping puddles, learning
how to get feet wet!

Skies are bluer, gray days fewer
burning sun and scorching skin.
Suncream slathered, sunburn hazard
playing in the midday sun!

Cracking leaves, deciduous trees
fruits abundant, harvest done.
Children foraging the hedgerows
eating berries, autumn fun!

Snow is drifting, flakes are falling
Building snowmen, children calling
Icy slides to break an arm on
Childhoods year has come and gone.

What a beautiful poem about childhood days when life flows without a care. There is fun and enjoyment, plays and games all through the days. Loved the way you have composed the poem to make it interesting reading. 'Snow is drifting, flakesare falling Building snowmen, children calling Icy slides to break an arm on Childhoods year has come and gone.'..wish could get back my childhood days. Thanks for sharing.
