Childhood Love Affair Poem by Enchanting Owl

Childhood Love Affair

Rating: 5.0

In our teen years, you were there constantly.
You defend me against my enemy so blatantly.
You kept on asking me if I was okay,
You've already taken my breath away.

I used to make melodies just for you.
Even if I knew you were secluded and glum and blue.
Willing to be your robust and steeled anchor,
Even if this makes me a sad rancor.

We liked to send secret coded letters.
Afraid that they might know—I wanted to be a jetter.
Never thought we would become a love story,
'Night's sparkling! I yelled with jubilee.

Laughing in our silly jokes and stories,
It was our preferred dinner date—past time full of berries.
I saw you staring at me and I stared, too.
Your friends caught up and found out; so you flew.

Searching ardently for you at the ball,
Because I wanted to show you my divine alcohol.
In the dance hall, you bowed and offered your hand.
'Will you be mine tonight? ' and I was stunned.

Bliss is not in my old dictionary.
Kissed and hugged me tightly on the night of 16th in February.
You loved me equally just like I loved you.
Words could not describe this love, so it grew.

In our sacred bed, we gave and made love.
Your charms caught me and I was a captive full of doves.
I slept with a very calm sigh and hush smile.
Night is peace; this is for a thousand miles.

Wish this would never end—for a lifetime.
Praying that you and I will be in church; it's my sweetest crime.
Having little children; our dreams are granted.
Tell them about us, 'We're enchanted! '.
