Child Sharing Words The Odd Poetic Thought Poem by Terence George Craddock

Child Sharing Words The Odd Poetic Thought

Rating: 5.0

I no longer own a suit nor want one
I am the child on the beach with a stick
drawing pictures words in the sand

I am silent the child on the sidewalk
standing watching half unseen in shadows
sharing words the odd poetic thought

Yes I enjoyed immensely the poem 'Watery Words', the interaction between the original and the new, the imagery interactive, both poems belong together. I had written a poem years ago, with a line something like she loved you as long as you wore a collar suit and tie, with implications of career, lifestyle, security. Maybe I can find it later? The poem 'Fine Garments Clothe' is preparation before leaving for work, the ritual mental and physical, of readying for professional demands.

Ah yes this poem inspired this one Watery Words no longer owning a suit a tie or shirt returning to childhood, work's gone for good, walking on white beaches collecting shells drawing pictures words in the sand with a stick the silent the child standing watching unseen in shadows sharing beach words washed away on the tides to different shores to ripple in watery metaphors
