Child Molestation Comments

Rating: 5.0

INTRODUCTION:
'I wrote this poem because it is for all the people out there who have been molested in the past. I want for them to relate to me because I have been molested and I know what it feels like. I want other people to know what it is like for all the victims out there..... for them to go through such horrible things like that.'

After reading the poem, I thought it fiction. Because I had beautiful childhood. But when I read Barbara below, I start realising the reality. Horrible

I'm sorry Nesa, but this brought back very horrific memories for me. My mother sent me to an institution when I was 12 because I was 'different'. She signed away her parental rights over me 2 months later. I was now an official ward of the state. An orphan with a living parent. While I was at this institution I was molested in every you can imagine, and don't stop there. These abuses continued day after day and when the institution couldn't stop me from being me, they sent me to the state hospital where the same abuses continued day after day for 3 more years.5½ years total. Even though my mother never hit me, or sexually abused me, or starved me, she may as well have because I was sent into the lion's den and I had to protect ME with a vengenace, since the state was wanting to destroy this beautiful girl in me. I couldn't let them do that. This poem is raw energy and emotions fueled by what had happened to you. For those of us who have been abused physically, sexually, and mentally, understand where this poem came from and the courage it took to write it. You have really written a very courageous poem with a very impportant message. But you know what though? It doesn't matter what circumstances our abuses happened, the pain, disgust, fears, torment, sadness, depression, loneliness, and everything else too, is the same. I am crying now because I still don't unerstand why I had to go through that. But the message in this poem should allow some of us to start looking at ourselves in a positive light. A 10+++++ and thank you for sharing. Love & hugs, Barbara
