I dont know which is worst, child marriage or young men having children with different girls who are also children themselves, children having children out of wedlock. God bless us all. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and talent.

A very serious matter this, so much involved. Capable or totally incapable of understanding situation. Taken in marriage to be a servant, abuse, stigma attached as regards relatives is another probability.Poverty will make parents sell this precious child instead of allowing her to live her life - protected.Sometimes marriages between two such people work, they spend their lives assisted and being cared for, thought of children frightening- again dependable on others...a very sad and complicated decision to make..

This is a very well penned poem Doctor Sheth. I have always seen our children go off to war and die for what our Goverments fight over. Land, which is not ours to begin with. We are just here for a season and then? We are to be caretakers of what our God has so blessed us with, but instead we water the soil with the blood of our young. God forgive us we are sinners saved by grace. Ten for this one. God Be With you and your great country. God's Servant, Linda

'In a due course'- 'A' is not necessary. Regarding the theme, it has got plus and minus. In olden days, the girl was not sent immediately after marriage but only after attaining maturity. There were instances of child marriage even in my family (my grand-parents) and I have never heard them complain about it. In a way, they took is as a natural course of event. It was only after the so called the Lib Movement that the society began to view it differently. From these times we simply can't gain the right spirit of this old custom. In my view, by allowing the custom to follow, man's passions could be more or less channellized at the right age and wayward going was far less than today. Today the society is suffering a lot out of such wayward wanderings of the youth. Who has taken the statistics? There can be exploitation in every system for which the system is solely not responsible. This is what is to be understood. Even after the days of Adam and Eve, man's nature stands at square one- this is what Richard Steele points out in his book 'The tasks for Education'. If all of our youngsters got a job at the right age to support the family, if we can slightly temper the Lib movement, I think the old custom can still lend its beneficial aspects. It can even serve peace to our society. Thanks for sharing the poem.
