(3) If he does, White advances his to e8 and gets a KNIGHT for it, checking the king and threatening the queen at the same time! 2. e8/N+!
(2) Black's natural reaction, of course, is to capture the rook with his king.1.... Kxc7.
(1) White's first move is to capture the on c7 with his rook, with check! 1. Rxc7+!
Bonus question: If it were Black's turn to move instead, what would his best move be?
If it were Black's move he would win easily by playing Queen to b2 with check, and capturing the while rook on the next move.
