Note to Poem Hunter members: Sylvia has my permission to translate my chess poems into Dutch. This is the first one I have seen. I do not log in as often as I used to. I believe she told me that she, too, had met Igor Ivanov (and played against him, also?) . He was a very talented chess player and musician!
Igor Ivanov was a " Grootmeester" in the Dutch language. He had been to the Netherlands too, but I have never played vs him, only attended his tournament in the Netherlands. When one is called a " Grootmeester" , dear Kim, then he is more than only " very talented" chess player.
