Cherry Blossom Poem by Thomas McKelvey

Cherry Blossom

Rating: 4.0

Amidst the Cherry Blossoms,
She loses herself,
Looking at the sky
Through the highest branches.

Turning and spinning,
Her arms held out,
Trying to embrace the wind
As it carries petals,
Swirling, gently down.

A subtle flowery scent
In the fresh spring air.
She turns her head
And unfurls her hair,

Vibrant auburn strands
Softly follow her gaze
As she looks for me.

A sublime smile
On her rosy face,
Pinked from the chill
Of the early April morning.

As she finds herself
Surrounded by
The same wondrous beauty
That she has given me,

She is my Cherry Blossom.
